Kay Healy
“Kay” is a special teddy bear made from Kay Healy’s well worn and loved mink stole.
The teddy’s
leg paw pads are made from the stole’s original lining and those on the arms are from the
replacement lining.
The bear wears a dress made from Patricia Bridges’ (Kay’s daughter) house coat and Kay’s lace tablecloth.
The teddy also wears Kay’s mink hat, decorated with a posy made of the same materials as the dress.
The posy is attached with Kay’s hat pin. “Kay” has
safety eyes, a leather covered nose and is stuffed with polyester fiber.
Kay is 15 inches tall.
